Before PTTNBT, in 2018, Shayan Italia’s deeply personal rendition of the Indian National Anthem - created as an ode to his mother - became the most-viewed national anthem performance globally at the time. In recognition of this cultural contribution, he was honoured by the Government of India with the “Global Indian of the Year” award. That same reverence for craft and culture now shapes The Sound of Reflection.
"I have always existed between worlds - discipline and rebellion, structure and emotion, silence and sound. Music became the place where these opposites could coexist. When I write or play, I am not performing - I am reflecting. This exchange of energy is why The Sound of Reflection exists: not to be consumed, but to be felt."
- Shayan Italia

Discipline gave direction to emotion.
Music became structure.
Practice became belief.
What began as instinct evolved into craft.
Tens of thousands of hours at the piano.
Learning restraint, precision, and truth.
This was not about proving anything.
It was about becoming capable of carrying -
carrying the weight of the feeling.
- Shayan In Reflection
